Hockey

A little hockey in the backyard on Sunday. There's a bit in the middle where Ranger gets his chain wrapped around my legs and then runs down the stairs, so it's a bit shaky at that point!

J's Game in Lucan

J's game - he's #20 in the blue jersey at the faceoff.

Alistair's Game in Ilderton

This is a little video from Alistair's game. He's #10 in the white jersey.

Weekend in Ilderton

Well it sure was a cold weekend! Especially in the hockey arenas, but well worth it!
First, we saw Alistair (white jersey in the first two photos) play a game at the Ilderton Arena where he scored two goals and his team won!
Then we went to a little town called Lucan where we watched J's team tie the opponents (which was apparently quite a feat as the other team is supposedly very good!) and J (blue jersey in the next three photos) got an assist! Very exciting! Both of these boys are very impressive on the ice!!!

Of course, we also celebrated John and Robin's birthdays while we were there with some prezzies and some cake!

On Sunday morning, J and Alistair were playing hockey on the backyard rink and Ranger was looking on! All in all, a very enjoyable time spent with the family. Mum and Dad enjoyed the visit, too!

Eagles in Hamilton Harbour

These photos were sent out from Alice Willems, Manager of the Discovery Centre in Hamilton. There were six eagles on the ice right outside of the Discovery Centre on February 7th. They were eying the poor buffleheads which are occupying an ever decreasing space of open water on the harbour. Five of the eagles are juveniles and the adult apparently caught a gull for them. Amazing....

Ilderton or bust!

Going down to Ilderton this weekend - looking forward to it. It's been FAR too long since I've been there and I know Mum and Dad are looking forward to it, as well.
I'll be sure to post some photos of the weekend so you guys in Oz can see!

I just went outside at lunchtime and took these photos from the back parking lot of my work... sure is cold out there.
